| Global Kids
sought our help on a variety of business law matters
resulting from its innovations in global education and
leadership development. With co-counsel support from
Lawyers Alliance staff, pro bono attorneys from Patterson
Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP advised the organization on
contract and internet legal issues when it developed
a new website; pro bono attorneys from Skadden, Arps,
Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP helped protect intellectual
property related to curriculum and student-led workshops;
pro bono attorneys from Shearman & Sterling LLP negotiated
a software company agreement and the terms of a grant,
enabling the organization to develop an interactive
online skills-building game; and pro bono attorneys
at Goodwin Procter LLP prepared releases from participants
and provided intellectual property guidance for an annual
essay contest. With this legal assistance, our client
successfully implemented educational programs,
including a Digital Media Initiative, reaching
thousands of New York City public school students and
educators.
"Lawyers Alliance connected us to lawyers with the
expertise that we needed for the different aspects of
our online youth leadership program, helping it to succeed
and grow." |
