Anoush Bagdoyan
As Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Anoush Bagdoyan works with staff to create and execute marketing and communications initiatives aimed at Lawyers Alliance’s primary audiences: nonprofit clients, volunteer attorneys, and funders. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in January 2007, she was the Communications Specialist for AdAbility, Inc. and before that, the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications for the National Council of Jewish Women. She received her B.A. from Scripps College in 1991 and is actively involved with advocacy and community work.

Gail Bayarin
Staff Attorney Gail Bayarin joined Lawyers Alliance in 2005 and specializes in Lawyers Alliance's Affordable Housing and Homeless Services program area. She uses her experience in corporate law and housing law to counsel nonprofits in the areas of formation, board governance, and affordable housing development. Previously, Ms. Bayarin was an associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She received her J.D. from The University of Michigan Law School in 2003 and B.S. from Cornell University in 1998. Jolynda Burton
As Pro Bono Coordinator, Jolynda Burton is responsible for recruiting, placing legal matters with, and coordinating volunteer attorneys from more than 100 major law firms and corporate legal departments. By expanding and supporting Lawyers Alliance's relationships with attorneys throughout New York, she strives to bring the best legal services to nonprofit clients and the highest quality pro bono experiences to volunteer attorneys. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2005, she worked in legal recruiting at the law firms of Jones Day and Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman. She received her B.A. from New York University in 1993 and is an active volunteer with several nonprofit groups in New York and New Jersey. Erika Byrnes
As development director, Ms. Byrnes oversees Lawyers Alliance's fundraising program, raising capital from private and public sources, including: law firms, foundations, banks, corporations, government agencies, and individuals. She rejoins Lawyers Alliance after previously serving as development director from 1997-2001. Most recently, Ms. Byrnes was a fundraising consultant for Washburn Partners. Her previous experience includes serving as vice president for development and communications for the Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation and director of corporate and foundation relations for the NYU Stern School of Business. She holds an MBA from NYU Stern and a BA from Mount Holyoke College. Professional and community activities: member, Association of Fundraising Professionals; member, Women in Development New York; volunteer, social venture program and nonprofit-focused student club of NYU Stern; volunteer, annual fund of Mount Holyoke College; member, Board of Directors, West Side Children's Fund.

Maria Cilenti
Maria Cilenti is a Senior Staff Attorney and the DLA Piper Fellow who provides business law services to organizations serving children and youth, with a particular focus on Head Start programs. Her previous position at Lawyers Alliance was the senior staff attorney responsible for the Children and Youth Services program area. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2005, Ms. Cilenti was a partner at Duane Morris LLP, an assistant attorney general in the Charities Bureau of the New York Attorney General's Office, and an associate at Shea & Gould. She received her J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991 and B.A. magna cum laude from State University of New York at Albany in 1987. Nancy Cruz
Senior Administrative Assistant Nancy Cruz provides invaluable support for all aspects of Lawyers Alliance's programmatic, fundraising, and administrative functions. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in June 2002, she was a customer service representative and receptionist with John Turano & Sons, and Student Advisor Secretary at Excelsior College. Ms. Cruz is a graduate of Glenmont Job Corps, which she credits with providing her with the skills and tools needed to provide quality customer service.

Sean Delany
As Executive Director, Mr. Delany positions Lawyers Alliance among peer institutions, law firms, community-based organizations, and the general public. Mr. Delany works with the organization's Board and staff to carry out all aspects of its operations. Mr. Delany also advises nonprofits in the areas of exempt organizations tax law and nonprofit law, with a focus on the regulation of lobbying and political activity. Prior to becoming Executive Director in 1999, Mr. Delany was legal director at Lawyers Alliance, section chief and then assistant attorney general in charge of the Charities Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office, and staff attorney at Bronx Legal Services. He received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1987 and B.A. from Hamilton College in 1974. Professional Activities: Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities of the Internal Revenue Service; Board of Advisors, Frances L. & Edwin L. Elizabeth M. Guggenheimer
As Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Guggenheimer oversees Lawyers Alliance's pro bono program, law firm relationships, and educational services. She also directs the organization’s marketing efforts, external communications and special projects. In addition, she has significant expertise in advising nonprofits in the areas of Nonprofit Accountability, fundraising law and regulation, and legal ethics. From 1999-2006, she was legal director at Lawyers Alliance. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance, Ms. Guggenheimer served as deputy bureau chief of the Charities Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office and was a litigator at Dewey Ballantine LLP. She received a joint J.D./M.P.A. from New York University School of Law and Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs in 1987 and A.B. maga cum laude with highest honors from Harvard University in 1982. David Hartman
As Program Associate for Youth and Community Development, David Hartman focuses on bringing Lawyers Alliance's services to organizations serving children and youth, as well as those engaged in economic development and other types of community development. He is responsible for day-to-day administration of Lawyers Alliance's technical assistance program with New York City's Department of Youth and Community Development. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2005, Mr. Hartman was a community outreach coordinator at Unified New Cassel Community Revitalization Corporation, and he received a B.A. from Hamilton College in 2004.

Lindsey Jones
Staff Attorney Lindsey Jones coordinates the Children and Youth Services program area. In this capacity she helps nonprofits that are providing childcare, improving public education, fostering youth development and leadership, and operating other vital youth programs. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2007, Ms. Jones was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. She received her J.D. cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in 2005 and B.A. with highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001.

Linda S. Manley
Legal Director Linda Manley oversees Lawyers Alliance’s client representation services and manages the in-house attorney staff. She also is responsible for Lawyers Alliance's newest program area, Elder Services, which counsels nonprofits ranging from large multi-service agencies to stand-along senior centers. In addition, Ms. Manley has significant experience in the areas of childcare, mergers and strategic alliances, corporate restructuring, and coping with financial distress. From 1997-2006, Ms. Manley was a staff attorney and senior staff attorney at Lawyers Alliance. Previously, she was an associate at the law firms of Jones Day and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, and she served as law clerk to Hon. Loretta A. Preska in the Southern District of New York. She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1991 and B.A. magna cum laude from State University of New York at Albany in 1988. Judith Moldover
Senior Staff Attorney Judith Moldover spearheads Lawyers Alliance’s Accountability initiative, which provides legal help to not-for-profits in areas of sound board governance, fiscal transparency, and proper personnel management. Ms. Moldover is also an experienced employment lawyer. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance, Ms. Moldover was Of Counsel at Ford & Harrison LLP, and she was VP and Group Counsel at American Express Company. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1977 and a B.A. cum laude from Bryn Mawr College in 1973.

Hedwig O'Hara
Senior Staff Attorney Hedwig O'Hara has more than 20 years of experience in affordable housing development and leads the Affordable Housing and Homeless Services program area, which focuses on business law services to nonprofit organizations engaged in affordable housing development, neighborhood revitalization, supportive housing, and services to the homeless. Ms. O'Hara also uses her financing and real estate law expertise to help additional Lawyers Alliance clients with complex real estate law needs. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2002, Ms. O'Hara was an attorney with Brown & Wood LLP, Battle Fowler LLP, and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP. She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1991 and B.A. cum laude from City University of New York at Hunter College in 1978. Elizabeth Perez
Staff Attorney Elizabeth Perez brings to Lawyers Alliance valuable corporate law experience and a strong public interest commitment. She coordinates the Immigrant Communities program area, which helps nonprofits that are improving the quality of life of low-income immigrants in New York City. In addition, she advises Lawyers Alliance's full range of nonprofit clients about business and transactional law issues. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2007, Ms. Perez was an associate at Clifford Chance US LLP. She received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 2004, an LL.M. from the University of London in 2004, and a B.A. from Texas A&M University in 2000.

Aaron Perlson
As Information Systems Manager, Aaron Perlson oversees and maintains Lawyers Alliance's computer network. He is responsible for ensuring that Lawyers Alliance's servers, workstations, databases, and other technical systems run smoothly. He also helps Lawyers Alliance collect, maintain, and analyze data in an efficient and effective manner. He has been part of Lawyers Alliance since 1996, previously serving as office assistant and then pro bono coordinator. Mr. Perlson received his B.A. in Applied Mathematics from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985.

Administrative Assistant Hunter Polese provides invaluable support for all aspects of Lawyers Alliance's administrative functions. Neil Stevenson
Senior Staff Attorney Neil Stevenson is responsible for Lawyers Alliance's Economic Development program area. He uses his experience in corporate and real estate law to assist community development and nonprofit organizations that are bringing investment capital and credit services, stimulating and revitalizing commercial activity, and sponsoring job training and job placement programs in New York City. Prior to joining Lawyers Alliance in 2004, Mr. Stevenson was a staff attorney at The Legal Aid Society and partner at Eaton & Van Winkle. He received an L.L.M from Columbia University School of Law in 1982 and L.L.B joint honours from the University of Glasgow School of Law in 1980.
